Production process

First, the glass raw materials (such as lime, soda ash, silica, dolomite and feldspar) and the colbalt, vanadium elements, black colorants are fully mixed in the batch mixer.

Second, all the glass raw materials with colorants are melted in the fusion furnace under high temperature around 1550℃.

Third, the molten black glass are fed into the bath of molten tin. The glass are pulled and pushed from the sideways, to form the required thickness.

Forth, the black glass will be lifted onto the conveyor rollers and pass through the controlled cooling tunnel which length is more than 100 meters.At start of the tunnel, the temperature can reach 600℃, the glass will exit the annealing lehr with similar temperature as the room.

Fifth, the black glass are cut automatically by cutter in the lengthwise and crosswise according requirements. Then the black glass sheets will be lift and put on the racks by the vacuum lifter automatically.

Sixth, To ensure the black glass quality, the automatic inspections and manual sampling inspection will be processed in the whole production.

Features

5 Good energy saving performance. The thermal insulation of the black glass is good. Especially when combined in an insulating glass unit with low e glass, the heat transfer can be reduced greatly. Then the energy consumption is much lower and can be saved effectively.

6 Good mechanical properties.The black glass can be cut, drill, polished, laminated, toughened, bent and so on, as the substrate to make laminated glass, tempered glass, insulated glass, vacuum glass and so on.

Application

With the super decoration effect and good thermal insulation performance, the black glass can be produced into black laminated glass, black insulated glass, black vacuum glass, black tempered glass, black acid etched glass and so on. It is widely used in the windows, doors,facades, glass furniture, glass table, logo board, background wall, glass enclosure, glass floor, carved art glass and so on.
