The bronze float glass is produced by the body tinted technology, its process is almost the same as float glass. The difference is that before the glass production, to add metal oxides and colorants into the raw materials. For the bronze color, normally the added elements is iron, sulphur and selenium. The added metal oxides and colorants won’t affect the glass structural integrity, and the thicker the glass, the color is darker. With the color changed, the glass solar energy transmission also been changed, the optical and thermal performance is different compared to the clear float glass.
